One Month Update!

It is so hard to believe that our little Angel (or "Sugar Bear" as her Daddy likes to call her) is already one month old. She has changed so much in the past four weeks, it's hard to imagine she will grow even more. She did sleep through the night two nights in a row!!! She went to her first basketball game last Friday night to watch her Daddy coach; and I must say she did very well with the noise and the crowd. I think we may have a social butterfly on our hands. We were also able to take her to Church for the first time this Sunday. She watched her Daddy the entire time he was talking. It's funny because I remember her kicking me in church when Brantley would preach while I was pregnant. I guess she still thinks he is reading stories to her. She is holding her head up on her own mostly now, and smiling at us when we talk to her. I hope to keep updating as much as possible, but I will be returning to work on February 7th. Keep that in prayer also, hopefully I will be able to stay home with Brianna at least part time, we know God will show us what to do!

So much to tell!

Hey everybody! I have had so much going on this past week. First of all, the schedule Daddy and Mommy put me on "almost" seems to be working. I usually go to bed a few minutes before 11pm and then wake up between 1am and 4am for more food. Then I go back to sleep until Mommy wakes me up at 7am to eat again. I am enjoying my playtime in the day more. I love to read and watch my Baby Praise DVD! I have also had many visitors lately, Uncle Dale and Aunt Kayla. (They love to spoil me and buy me all the "cool" stuff!)


My Great Granny Strickland, Great Aunt Laura and "Aunt" Jennifer came all the way from Florence to see me. I really enjoy being a 4th generation Strickland Girl!


Then my Dada and Mema came to babysit me while Daddy took Mommy on a date. (I had a lot of fun getting hugs and kisses from them!)

My Paw Paw, Maw Maw and Mot came to see me too. (Paw Paw and Mot held me for the first time, and I can't wait for them to hold me again!)

I also had a visit from my first "girl" friend Leigha and her Mommy Meredith.

A Big Week!

Hey Everybody!
Seems like it has been a while since I have written. A lot of things have been going on. I went to the Doctor again on Tuesday and my weight is 8lbs. and 5oz. That is probably because I am still eating like a little piggy. The good news is I am no longer taking formula. Daddy and Mommy also decided to put me on a schedule this week. So far it has not been really fun, but I'm sure I will adjust in a few weeks (at least Daddy and Mommy are praying so). One of my favorite things to do this week (besides staring at my fish in the cradle swing)has been to play with my aquarium gym. I love to try and grab my ocean friends and kick at the ball, I'll try to get Mommy to post a picture of that when we get a good one! Well, that is all for now, see you soon.

Two Weeks Old Already!

Hey Eveyone! I am two weeks old today. Everyone says it is so hard to believe, especially Daddy and Mommy. Maw Maw and Mommy took me to the Doctor yesterday. I did really good for the most part, probably because Maw Maw got to play with me while we were waiting on Doctor Kinsey. I barely missed my birth weight (only by 1 oz.), but we have to go back next week just to make sure I hit it. I'm sure I will as much as I have been eating lately. I was able to get my first bath in my "big tub" last night and I thought I would share the picture with you. I really liked it once Daddy started singing to me! Hope to chat with everyone again soon, but for now it is nap time!

First Doctor Visit

I had my first check-up Tuesday and I weighed 7lb 8oz but that's o.k. because I eat all the time and will soon gain all my weight back and some extra! My jaundice is all better now so we finally got rid of that biliblanket. When they checked me for jaundice, I did really good unti they had to keep squeezing my heel to get the blood. I did not like that so Mema had to hold me because Mommy got upset (glad Daddy wasn't there because he would not have liked it either!)

I had a really great one week Birthday. I got to play dress up with Mommy and Mema. Here is a picture they took of me in the outfit that Dada bought! Well time to go eat, talk to you all real soon!

It's A Girl!

We welcomed Brianna Grace into the world on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 3:35 PM. She weighed 8 lbs and was 20 inches long. She has black curly hair and looks exactly like Daddy. Welcome little angel!
